I am so sorry for your loss in your family. It is a loss to many others as well. I worked at Composite and it felt like family. My time with the company was warm. Don was a good christian leader and it came through in his character and work. He had an inner strength that others could feel. I will miss him and I am glad to have been a part of the Composite family.

Memories go way back watching Don wrestle when I lived in Miami. His father was the Pastor who married my Sister and Brother-in-law back in 1967. His father and my father were close friends through the Miami Baptist Association. Our Family business used Don and his partner at Eastern Steel Erectors to erect a lot of steel all over the Columbus area over the years. Don was far more than a business associate he was my friend. My family and I will continue to keep Don's family in our prayers and our memories.

I had the privilege of coaching Don at Miami Palmetto Senior in football and wrestling...he was my first state champion and helped establish a program of excellence that was respected throughout the state of Florida...I was pleased to have had dinner with Don and his family in Miami just a few years ago...he was a great kid to coach and know and obviously grew up to be a great husband, father and human being...I will remember him always and am deeply saddened by his passing...Coach Barry Zimbler

My husband and I had the privilege of working with Don for many years. There is not enough I can say about him or his family. Don to me was a pillar of strength and I felt stronger when I was around him. He had such a wonderful heart and I believe truly could see the good in everyone and everything. He became like a father figure in my life when my own passed away. Carole, you were so blessed to have a husband who loved you the way Don did. You could see it in his eyes at the mention of your name. I know your family is feeling a great loss and I am deeply sorry for that loss. I always felt like part of your family while working at Composite and it continued after I left. Thank you for the memories I will be able to cherish for my lifetime. My prayers are with you and the kids. We love you all.

Dobbins Family,
Although we were not ready for Don to leave us I am sure Heaven was so honored to receive him. I've always enjoyed talking to him and will miss him dearly. I pray that you all will soon have a since of peace in your hearts knowing that he is still watching over you. May God Bless You

i had the honor of knowing Mr. Dobbins for a good eight or nine years. and in all these years i've never met a man as nice or as helpful than he. He will forever be missed, and he'll always stay in my heart. <3

I had the distinct honor of working with Don in his position as a member of the Board of Directors of the Grande Surf Club condominiums. He provided invaluable assistance and leadership in his role as a director. Don had the innate ability to clearly analyze a problem and arrive at logical solution and then present that solution in a calm, reasonable, and persuasive manner. I value his friendship and professionalism immensely. My firm, the Board and all of the owners owe him a great deal of gratitude. I know his soul was welcomed to heaven.

I worked for Don & Carole for many years. You could not ask for a better person to work for. Don's heart was enormous. I had the pleasure of seeing them both Friday at the River Club.
Carole, I am so very sorry to know that Don has left us. If there is anything I can do for you, anything at all, please let me know.
With the deepest of sympathies and a heavy heart.
