Not sure what to say?

Don was an important mentor for me in my journey in the field of education and service learning. He visited our programs at CSU Chico several times and I worked with him on a number of service learning initiatives in California including the Service Learning 2000 program he headed at Stanford. I am sorry I lost track of him in the later years after my retirement. I will always remember Don as an innovator, deep thinker, and caring individual who helped bring innovation and reform to...

I will always value the learned from Don as a teacher and on the tennis courts. Willie Williams

After reading that Donald has passed,we are sending our deepest sympathies to Ann, Donald, Tod and Martha. We spend wonderful hours with Don and Ann at home in Stanford and in a winery (1993). His last visit in Berlin, Heinrich Schwermer died, was also unforgetable. I have not the adress from Cloverdale and send this words on this way. Perhaps this notice find the way to the familie Hill. Don Hill was very protective of me. Always found a way to keep me in the mix of AP courses with him-it was a great time for all of us. He was such a kind & generous man!!

I admired Don for his generous spirit, incisive mind and compassionate leadership. He loved his family deeply and had so many friends. My husband and I will miss him and send our deepest condolences to Ann, Tod, Peter and the rest of the Hill family.

Don was one of the finest human beings that we know. His commitment to public education was inspiring. We treasure our time with Don and Ann. RIP dear Don. Art Baldonado and Kathleen Kirby

I remember what an amazing, interested and engaging teacher he was. Loved by all.

I was a junior at Aragon HS in 1961-1962 when Mr Dunstan and Mr Hill began an innovative, challenging way to teach American History. Grateful.
