I worked with Don - in the courtroom, he was calm and reserved, always polite and respectful to everyone. You could tell he was the type of police officer who truly wanted to make his community a better and safer place. He was a brave man who served Henrico well. This is an unimaginable loss to his family, who has my prayers, and a tremendous loss to our community.

My sincere condolences to Officer Donald Lambert's family. May God comfort you all now and always.

Don was a wonderful musician. He began learning how to play his fiddle in 2nd grade in Miss Rannow's class. I enjoyed playing music with him all the way through 12th grade. I pray God will wrap all of you in His loving arms and comfort you.

Don was a kind man that thought of others first and made his family his first priority. His proudest accomplishment was that he served his community. My life was blessed to have had Don part of it and all that knew him will always treasure the gifts he gave. Sending my love to Josh and Caleb, you and your father will always be in my heart
