Donald Lynch Obituary

Donald Joseph Lynch, age 87, of Parkville, Maryland passed away on September 2, 2025. He was the beloved husband, for 62 years, of Carol M. Lynch (nee Cunningham); devoted father of Patricia Jean Lynch Young and her husband Jim, Janet Marie Lynch Maxwell and her husband Bill, and Donna Carol Lynch Gikas and her husband Emmanuel; loving grandfather of Matthew Maxwell, Trey Maxwell and his wife Julia, Jennifer Young, Nicholas Gikas, Joseph Gikas, and Olivia Young; cherished great-grandfather of Austin Maxwell; step-brother of Ernest Neels.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11 A.M., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 8420 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236. Inurnment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Donald's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
