Not sure what to say?

Sending condolences to my family on my mom's side. Uncle Don was where I would go on weekend visits with my Aunt Anna. The smell of his tack shop will forever stay with me. I remember as a child getting on this big mean (I don't think we knew she was a brat yet) pony named Muffin. It was my first time horse back riding. Well Don had the lead at first and I was doing pretty well, and she was behaving. We were just walking around the enclosed ring. Suddenly Muffin decided she had enough of this...

Dear Don,
Thank you for your service and generosity to your community. I have been in and out of your tack shop for decades...
You were always informative and helpful. Your kindness and support for organizations never went unnoticed.
I will always remember Barbara Harris bragging about the paint horse she bought from you and how much pleasure she had showing it. You kind spirit has touched many horses and people...
Happy trails for you are one of our last cowboys...

Im sorry to hear of Dons passing. My thoughts are with his family! He and my husband were friends as young men.

Deerest Robbielynn,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

m so sorry for your loss. Don was a nice man. My condolences

Don will be missed, I taught science with him for 30 years. We got our first trailer from him and Paul. If youve got a trailer, you can always find a horse. It served several horses, as a moving van, and as the NJH Ski Club trailer. We are so fortunate to have had Don as a friend for so many years.

I got my first Thoroughbred from Don on a trade when I was 17. He remained a friend as I went through vet school and through my years in practice here in Orange county. He was a true icon of a gone by era in the horse community. He will be missed.

Listening to Don's stories of adventures with horses and horse people, was always a highlight for me when I visited with Karen and Jean (my sister) and Eric. I always learned some horse wisdom, talking with Don, what worked or what didn't work. As with most of us with horses, often he had experienced both, and would honestly admit it. One overnight ride I went on ( I rode Hotshot) Jean (on Shadow) and Eric (on Shetan), Karen and Don danced to the country music band there that night. Fun...

My condolences to his family especially Robbielynn Maney, my friend, and his friends. He always helped us get the best ponies, horses, tack or whatever we needed all thru the years. We will always cherish his advice and kindness. We will miss you.
