Not sure what to say?

Miss you Ray but the good times we had are still there and thought about. Jewel

Ray Parker and I became friends in 1956 at Arcata High School, We attended Trinity Baptist Church in Arcata along with my parents and Ray's family. We remained friends and always had a lunch date on my visits to California. I visited Ray on his last day of life and I miss him terribly. Ray and my husband Carroll were also friends, Thank you for being our friend Donald Ray Parker. I'll never forget you. Love you, Donna Mudford Frizzell

My original entry was posted with a picture only by mistake. This is the "post". Ray and I enjoyed a lot of good times, parties and functions over the years. RAY'S LIFE was God's gift to many of us. There was a picture hanging on his Washington Street shop wall for many years of: Ray wearing a very high quality, authentic looking King Kong gorilla suit... nothing less than convincing evidence that Ray was an intimidating escapee from the zoo. I was the victim wearing a 3 piece suit sitting...

Donald Ray Parker, a very special friend of mine and Carroll's and our family. I saw Ray last on February 24th. I stood in the doorway to his room, told him that I came to say "good by", that my visit to Arcata\Eureka had ended. I blew him a kiss, said I love you and good by. He smiled and said ill see you next time. What a wonderful friend he was.

Sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I had my first job with Parker Electric way back in the day. Ray was a caring and fun person and the plane ride to Redding with his brother and the dog scared the heck out of me. He was a good boss. My prayers and thoughts to his family. On to bigger and better things Ray.

So very sorry to hear Ray has left us. Doug remembers his first day in the electrical trade as an Apprentice working for Ray on the Mad River wells for Steek Electric. Later Doug had the pleasure of working for Ray at Parker Electric for about 11 years. I enjoyed the Christmas parties and fun talks with Ray in the office. Doug and I were so surprised when he asked to befriend us on Facebook in 2014 after not seeing him in about 20 years or so. We met him and Diana for lunch in Weaverville...

May God comfort all of the family and friends. I remember Ray as a Sunday School teacher at Sunny Brea Baptist Church many years ago. He will be missed.

I wish there was a "like" button on here! Cheryl, Jewel, Ron, I know Dad talked about you all often, Wayne and Barbe, I don't know you yet, but maybe we will meet in April?

We all will miss Dad. He was indeed a rare soul, we all carry many tales that he played a part in. Some of us more than others.

Teresa
