Don and Marian Rainwater were friends and did play a big part in one of our Christmases by delivering a boat to our driveway on Christmas Eve for the kid's father as a surprise. No greater friendship than this from both of them. Bless them both

Don and Marian were family friends and took care of me and my sibs while my parents were at a conference - when you lived in Del Rosa. I also babysat for Kathy and Lisa..at that time Marian was pregnant with their 3rd. I also like her very much - she was easy going and friendly... My dad Si worked with Don at John Hancock. In my 20's I visited the family in Sacramento. Anyway, Don was such a great guy - full of positive energy and good hearted and a ready smile and laugh. He made a deep...

To the Rainwater Family,
Wish that we could attend the service for Don. We will be thinking of him as we often do. There are so many words to describe Don, but one of them is PERSONALITY!!! He could light up your life! He made us laugh, he made us happy to see him, and he was a very special person! He will missed by MANY friends.

It’s hard to imagine not having Don Rainwater in the world anymore. It still hasn’t hit me in the fullest amount, I doubt it ever will. I can’t think of a better role model than my Papa. Everyone he met surely felt his great personality, charm and honesty. He told the best stories, always had the best advice and never managed to offend anyone. I think it’s best to remember him in the way he wanted to be remembered, as an upbeat and truly fearless man. He wasn’t scared of death; he embraced it...

My Dear Conner and Nelson,
Your "Papa", was every kids dream to have as a Grandfather. I remember that on the night you were born,Conner,he left the waiting room and came back with a baseball glove. Nelson, when you were about two years old, I recall him saying to me "That little boy is so cute,he won't need a car to get the girls!" That's always made me smile when I think of it. His words about you were always so filled with admir-
ation and love.
He made the...
