I can´t believe it´s been a year. I still think of him most every day, and wish I could have said good bye. All the trees for him and Rob have been planted. I hope they grow strong and straight in tribute. I hope you all are doing OK, or as well as can be expected. Have a happy holiday.

I must have signed his name hundreds of times on requisitions and reports. It was always Donald Sullivan Sullenberger. I never before saw Shields as his middle name.
