Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of working for Don in Shell's Pecten Chemicals when he announced his intention to "pay back" by starting the Pecten Chemicals Scholarship in International Studies at St. Thomas University. It was also my pleasure to help him reach full endoument by managing its annual fund raising golf outing in Houston when he and Marilyn moved to Florida. Don was inspirational and a pleasure to know. My wife Sylvia and I will miss him and Marilyn.

Bill and Sylvia Merritt

Don was a kind and gentle man with a loving heart for all. He will be missed by all.

I was Don's secretary when he was president of Pecten Chemicals. He was a genuinely nice man. We had a fantastic working relationship. We could always hear him walking down the hallways at a fast pace with a jingling sound emanating from his pockets.

My condolences to the family.

To the Ulrich family I extend my deepest sympathy for your loss. Don was a true business man. It was a pleasure working for him in Pecten Chemicals. He was well respected within the Shell Community.

He was a humanitarian. He was instrumental in doing so much for the University of St Thomas. He saw to it that these students were afforded an opportunity they might otherwise not have had.

Keeping Don and your family in my prayers
