To all the Whitten Family:

I am so sorry that Don has passed away so early in life and you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. He was a good person with a heart of gold and he was loved by many people. You can take comfort in knowing that he is in a better place now with his mom and dad and I'm sure that he'll be watching over each and every one of you, especially his daughters that he loved so much.

I was deepley saddened to learn of Don's death while I was volunteering in India. On the flight home I remembered Don having a huge heart and a jovial attitude with everyone he met. On occasion he would call my mother to chat or email me and reminisce about the high school days when he actually had hair. :) He always talked about his family that he loved very much and that I need to start my own family because I was getting old. Aleah, Lauren & Becky, Words can not express how I feel today. Please have peace in knowing that Don loved each one of you with immeasurable distance & Held each of you ever so close to his heart. A great childhood friend and classmate. I remember all the fun times we had up in the woods catching salamanders in the stream and building forts with tree branches. Those were the carefree days of our youth and I am glad I got to spend a lot of those days with you.
