Rev. Donald H. Wilson MARION The Rev. Donald H. Wilson, 80, of Marion, died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at his residence. He was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Rutherford County, to the late Jay W. Wilson and Janie Mae Womack Wilson. Rev. Wilson graduated from Marion High School, Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute, Gardner-Webb University, Ers-kine Theological Seminary, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary at Wake Forest. He pastored nine churches throughout North and South Carolina, including Turkey Cove Baptist Church, North Cove Baptist Church and Hankins Baptist Church in McDowell County. He was the director of missions for Three Forks Baptist Association in Boone for eight years, followed by director of missions for Blue Ridge Baptist Association of Marion for 25 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Clara Clontz Wilson; son, John Keith Wilson; and his father- and mother-in-law, Nelson and Pauline Clontz. He is survived by his four children, Mark Wilson and wife, Cindy, of Waxhaw, Wanda Queen and husband, Jerry, of Belmont, Donna Carter and husband, Jerry, of Bluefield, W.Va., and Steve Wilson and wife, Martha, of Boone; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Edith Edwards and her husband, S.J., of Marion; brothers, Howard Wilson and his wife, Bonnie, of Marion; Bobby Wilson and his wife, Bernice, of Marion and Glenn Wilson and his wife, Camilla, of Hickory; brother-in-law, Nelson "Buddy" Clontz, Jr. and his wife, Eileen, of Media, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Donald. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Cross Memorial Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at the church, with Rev. Doug Prevette officiating. Burial will follow at Cross Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
