Donn will always live in my memory. He was a rare character, and a man who appreciated and cherished a true friendship, and sincerely cared for other people deeply. I was so fortunate that he included me as one of his close friends. If I could speak to him now, I would say "THANK YOU, DONN, from the bottom of my heart!" May God rest his soul.

Donn spoke of his fight and struggle to survive from his disease the night I was saying goodbye to him and some other special friends at the end of the OHW festivities last year. I just couldn't believe it; I was so sure I would see him again during the next OHW in 2016, but, alas, it wasn't to be.

My sympathy to all of Donn's family. I didn't get to see Donn very often since ski club days, but, we did remain in contact with occasional emails. I sure will miss you, Donn. I always enjoyed our conversations. Sincerely, Ed
