Donna Hess Missal

Donna Marlene (Hess) Missal, 89, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away October 25, 2021. Born April 2, 1932, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of William Hess and Vivian Moen. She graduated from Bowen High School in 1949, earned her bachelor's degree from DePaul University and Master's Degree at Governor State. She worked for the Illinois Public Schools as a speech pathologist. In 1979 Donna moved to Florida where she worked for Volusia County Schools until her retirement in 1994. Donna was preceded in death by her husband Bernie Missal, sister Joan (Hess) Nixon, and son James B. Missal. She is survived by sister Patricia (Hess) Weber (Gerald), son David W. Missal (Merlinda), three grandchildren, Angela Mayers (Glen), Dana Missal, and David Missal Jr., and 2 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home in Ormond Beach, FL on November 4, 2021. The entombment will be at Volusia Memorial Park in Ormond Beach, FL.
