Gosh, I'm shocked and saddened. I went into the subway today and couldn't believe what has happened. I spoke to Donna often and had even entrusted her once to hang onto a gift card I purchased for a homeless man named Charlie that goes there often. She told me she'd hang onto it for him and give it to him when she saw him in there next. I told her "I know you will Donna, you are extremely trustworthy". What heartbreaking news. I remember hearing about the story when it first broke, before names were released, but had no idea it was them. My father was childhood friends with Donna Rae and that friendship continued into their adulthood. As a little girl I remember frequent family get togethers and BBQs and often asking if my parents, sister, and I could all visit Donna Rae's house where we would have a blast with her doing hair, nails, and makeup.
