Dora Leah (Loader) Krickbaum passed away peacefully on April 23, 2020. She was the 10th born of 13 children to Harry Oliver Loader and Ida Myrtle (Shandy) Loader. Dora was born in Longton, KS on Aug. 6, 1927. She spent her childhood in Fort Collins, CO. She then married Kenneth Dale Krickbaum on Sept. 27, 1947, in Raton, NM. Dora and Kenneth owned and operated a family restaurant in Scottsbluff, NE during their early years of marriage while living and raising their young children, Karen, Robert, and Mike, in Minatare, NE. Kenneth later became a district manager with a food service company requiring the family to move to Winfield, KS, then to Norman, OK in 1972. Dora was an avid china painter and instructed china painting while also holding a board position with the Oklahoma State Federation of China Painters. Dora obtained a realtor's license while showing and selling homes in the Norman area. Mr. and Mrs. Krickbaum were longtime members of Bethel Baptist Church in Norman. Dora and Ken maintained residency in Norman, OK until 2014, when Dora moved to Village on the Park independent living, then to assisted living.
Dora was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Dale Krickbaum; daughter, Karen Lea Cardona; parents, Harry Oliver and Ida Myrtle Loader; and her siblings, Durward, Baby Loader, Oliver, Iris, Cecil, Floyd, Horace, Warren, Johnny, Vida, Edgar, and Ina Jean.
Dora is survived by sons, Robert Krickbaum (Clare) and Michael Krickbaum; and Patrick Cardona, son-in-law. her grandchildren, Kristin Cardona Spring (Eric), Jon Cardona, Marc Krickbaum (Katie), Matthew Krickbaum (Amberly), and Coree Krickbaum Parent (Gerald); and her great-grandchildren, Whitney Cardona, Chance Reynolds, Rian Lewellen, Dora Parent, Hannah Krickbaum, Frances Krickbaum, and Charlotte Krickbaum.
Viewing will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 N. Porter Ave., Norman, OK 73071.
A graveside service will be officiated by Pastor James Ehrlich at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 2301 E. Indian Hills Rd., Norman, OK 73071.
