Doreen Newman

Newman, Doreen , 77, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2017 in Orlando, Florida leaving her loving husband, Ivan, of fifty-four years. She was the proud parent of five children (Michael, Donna, Sandra, Pauline and Paul), fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sons-in-law and two daughters-in-law, her sister, her nieces and nephews. Doreen was born on January 5, 1940 in Kingston, Jamaica. After attending Saint Gabriel's College, she attended nursing school at The University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica and graduated as a registered nurse. She worked as a nurse in Jamaica for seven years before migrating to the United States in 1969, where she continued practicing nursing until her retirement. Doreen will be remembered most for her love, kindness, and selflessness. She was a devoted member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Doreen was passionate about gardening and found great joy in traveling cooking, baking, crocheting, and spending time with family.
