Doris Noffke Coenen Carlson

My prayers and sympathy to all of you for the loss of Doris. She and my mom, Mary Ann, were first cousins and were very close when they were growing up. I had the privilege of seeing her a few times and will always remember how sweet she was, very much like her mom. Peace and comfort to her family, I know she will be missed. Diane Van Herwynen

To all the Coenen children, your mother's love was a gift beyond measure, offered to my father and returned in kind. I will always remember her most of all for how happy she made him and how she cared for him when he needed it most. May she rest in peace with all her angels about her.

When my mother passed away in 2008, Doris offered, "I'll be your mother now." It was such a breathtakingly beautiful thing to say, but Doris was like that. She was the sweetest, gentlest, most loving person I have ever known. I love you, Mom.
