Doris was a sweet and kind lady. I will miss her dearly. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Carmen, I am very sorry for the loss of your precious mother. I haven't seen her in years however I recall how special she was as she was in our lives often while Joe was living. Please know she is in a better place now, free of cancer and with our Lord and Saviour! As our loved ones pass .. we learn to rely on sweet memories..My prayers are with you as you continue to carry on your legacy of being the daughter of two very special people! Sincerely,

To the dear family of Doris Eakes, I know you all are suffering a great void. The small amount of time we spent together at the beauty salon, the Cape Fear scholarship fund and writing letters back and forth while she was in Tennessee I discovered just how special a person she was to know. She gives us all great hope of what can be achieved if one puts their mind to a task.
