For Doris, I light this candle. She was a very special lady to me and so many people all over the world. My friend and "Scrabble" partner is now with her Lord and free of cancer. Her light will shine on and she will be remembered just for being Doris and all the goodness she has bestowed among so many. Rest in peace Doris...you will be greatly missed.

Dear Carmen and Family, Your Mother has a very special place in my heart, and her vibrant spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Although your Mom was my client, and banked with me for many years, we became good friends, and I have always been a strong supporter of her philanthropic work and the random acts of kindness she bestowed on so many people throughout her life! (Last year at this very time ... she could not get a hold of me at work, and pulled up in my driveway at home to bring me a Christmas Ham.) She was just like that ... a strong woman with a huge heart! Please know that both me and my husband(Mike Hill)... we truly loved your Mother (like so many people) and we will miss her presence in our life. I know she is in a better place now and cancer free in heaven. I know she will be a special guardian angel for so many of us left behind as we go through this journey called, "Life."

With Our Deepest & Sincere Sympathy,
Lisa & Mike Hill

To the dear family of Doris Eakes, I know you all are suffering a great void. The small amount of time we spent together at the beauty salon, the Cape Fear scholarship fund and writing letters back and forth while she was in Tennessee I discovered just how special a person she was to know. She gives us all great hope of what can be achieved if one puts their mind to a task.
Thank you for sharing your time and love with us Doris, you will be greatly missed!
