I am so sad to hear this news. I was her Alpha Xi Delta sister at Northwestern. I have very much appreciated her keeping all the Alpha Thetas of a certain era together via the semi annual newsletters she literally dragged out of us. Doris was a good friend to me. We not only worked together at the FDIC but also carpooled for many years. This time together allowed us to share the joys and struggles of our respective family lives. After retirement, we stayed in touch, and her intellect allowed the conversation to go to many places. Doris was a wonderful friend and co worker. My sympathy goes out to her family. Our friendship goes back to mid 60s when Doris moved to VA and joined the SEC staff. We became fast friends and at one time shared an office. During that time she married John Marsh. We attended the wedding which was a grand and happy day for Doris and John.
