It's always hard to say "good-bye" to someone who has made a difference in your life, has made you a better person just for spending time with them, and who taught you to "eat anything that won't eat you first". :) I will miss your sarcastic humor, our ice cream runs, and our love of chocolate but I know in my heart, it is not the loss of you I will never get over, but the LIFE of you and that is a wonderful thing.! Randy, Greg, and Lori - I wrote a tedious, tear-jerking remembrance here to Doris and The Coach which my laptop promptly ate. I'm glad it did. Most of what I wrote was an apology to them for my failures properly to recognize them for all that they did for me. And that was stupid of me. No small part of your parents' greatness was that they didn't need to receive any public showing of appreciation for the many good deeds they did. That doesn't relieve me of the penance I owe for...

Greg and Family: Very sorry to hear of Doris's passing. I often have thought of her over the years and always appreciated how she treated me like one of the family when we were kids. I am in Calif so won't get back for the ceremony. Sincere condolences.
