Dear Gene; Doris was a very special person in the lives of my family. My mom [Beatrice Crowley] loved your children Gloria and Joseph and was especially proud to be part of your daughter's career. China Garden was a first class restaurant. Your and Doris's love and care welcomed us frequently. When my mom died we held her funeral dinner buffet at your restaurant, it was such a success, my thanks to you.
Please accept the condolences of the Zoll family. My son William, daughter Debbie and myself Kathy. Peace be unto her and your family.

I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved wife. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. We live in Raynham and used to go to China Garden all the time. I'll always remember how kind both you and Doris were to us. I'll never forget her warm smile. Please take care and extend our condolences to your entire family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Gene, Louisa, Gloria & Joseph,
I met Louisa at the Taiwanese Love Boat trip June 1988. The fall of 1990, I started optometry school in Back Bay, but there was no available housing at that time. Mr. & Mrs. Wong offered for me to stay at their home until accommodations were available. I inconvenienced them for many weeks. Doris and Gene were my Boston parents and they will always be. When I couldn’t come home to DC for Thanksgiving, they opened their house and treated me like their daughter. They always did. I will never forget that. Even on the last day in Boston , they fed me dinner and let me sleep till 2 am when I drove all my stuff down. I am forever indebted to Doris and Gene. I will never forget all you both have done. Thank you you from the bottom of my heart. I will miss Mrs. Wong dearly.
