Dorothy Gardenhire Obituary

Dorothy Gardenhire was born on March 18, 1926 in Keota, OK and passed away in Chowchilla, CA on July 31, 2015 at the age of 89.
Dorothy has been a Chowchilla resident for 69 years. For the first few years of her marriage she was a minister's wife. She was a homemaker for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Gertrude White; husband, J.D. Gardenhire and son, Michael David Gardenhire.
Dorothy leaves behind her daughter, Charlotte (Kelly) Altis; granddaughter, Katie Altis of Sedalia, MO; sister, Laverne McDaniel of Marmaduke, AR and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 3pm-7pm at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel, 140 S 6th St, Chowchilla, CA 93610. Funeral services will be held at the First Assembly of God Church, 317 Orange Ave, Chowchilla, CA on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11am with interment to follow at Chowchilla Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Palm Memorial Worden Chapel.

She was a sweet, sweet lady always happy and in good spirits. She loved her family and her church. I enjoyed so much looking at the pictures bringing back so many old memories. You are in heaven now with your precious Lord having the time we can only imagine. Hoping for many blessing for you in your final home with the most high.

To the family of Dorothy Gardenhire. Our condolences go out to you during this very sad time. Our mother shared many years in the Women's Missionary Group with Dorothy. Dorothy was such a giving kind person and was always doing something helpful for someone else. She was last my Sunday School Teacher. From the family of Clyde and Vera McDowell
