Dorothy Hutto Obituary
Dot was the former office manager and seamstress with Contemporary Furniture Designs in Stallings, NC. Following retirement, she enjoyed long trips to the beach with her husband. However, her heart was always at home where family and great grands were. Dot would never let them stay too long because she needed to see the grands. Preceding her in death was her husband, JR Hutto, in 2013.
Survivors include sons, Donald "Steve" Hutto (wife, Judy) and David Hutto (fiancee, Paula); grandchildren, Kim Gordon (Michael), Caren Dowless (husband, Russell) and Christopher (wife, Dina); great-grandchildren, Curtis Gordon, Abby and Alivia Dowless, and Avery Hutto. Also surviving are her sisters, Mildred Walker and Martha Charo; and brother, Lawrence Shaw (wife, Donna.)
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, December 3rd, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Dear Hutto family,Tom and I are so sorry for the loss of Dot.She was a wonderful person who cared about family and friends so much.I'm going to miss our visits where we discussed our children, grandchildren and for Dot "Great'' grandchildren.Nothing made her happier than to talk about all of you.
