I met Dot when I began playing for Cokesbury Memorial UMC. She engaged me in conversation quickly and discovered like herself, I was a retired teacher. She often met me for lunch and we would discuss so many things about church, family and teaching. I invited her to join a educator's group and she considered it at the time. During the pandemic, Dot and the ladies of Cokesbury invited me to join them as we gathered at various houses for wine and talk. Although I have only known her since 2016,...
