Browne Family,

I was Doug's Suite Mate at Central Texas College. I have very fond memories of Doug. He had a way of making the people around him happy either through laughter or friendship. He was both a good person and a good friend. He will be missed. I am very sorry for your loss.

Browne family, I attended Central Texas College with Doug all four years. I will always remember him as a very happy, very gracious person. I don't think Doug ever met a stranger. He had a way of extending his friendship instantly. I have thought of Doug many times over the years and kept abreast of how he was doing through mutual friends. I was very saddened to hear today of your loss. Please know that Doug touched many people and that you are in the thoughts and prayers everyone.

Jim, Barbara:

It was nice meeting you two for the first time. Thanks for inviting me into your house in such a bad time. We will all miss Doug (JD). There is nothing to write to make you two feel better. Only prayer will help at this time. I have not yet accepted the reality of this situation.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, always.

Mr. and Mrs. Browne and family,

I was truly saddened to hear of your loss. I deployed with Doug as a member of VAW-121. As a pilot, Doug brought me safely back aboard the ship on more than one occassion. I will always be grateful to him and am very proud to have had the honor to serve with him. I am sure you are both proud of Doug's accomplishments and service. He will truly be missed by those of us who had a chance to know him and fly with him. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely, LCDR Bennie Sanchez, USN

Jim, Barbara and Greg,

The pain that you are experiencing must be so intense. Please know that you are thought of and loved by my entire family. I wish there was something that I could do for you.

BARBARA and JIM: Yall are amazingly strong and are very good people. Thank you for being a part of my "base". You have always been there.... Stay strong....

**GREG, I wanted to talk to you a little more the other day. As I read through all of these entries most of them said "Doug and Greg" and I know that you are hurting right now in so many ways I cannot come close to saying that I know how you feel. But I understand one part of it.....When I lost my brother, I felt like a puppet without strings, in a way, I felt like he was the other half of me because he had been with me since I was born. I know the circumstances are different but it all still breaks down to the same thing. I just want you to know that I feel your loss and I am sorry.

All my love,

Tana
