Was a big fan of the All Stars from Charlottesville--saw them at the old Psyche Delly (in Bethesda) and Desperados (in DC) with Lucille Schoettle on vocals and Dick Green on lead guitar. Great band! Doug could play! Rest in Peace, bluesman!

I´m so sorry to hear of Doug´s passing. My memory of him goes all the way back to the early 1970s when he played harmonica for the Charlottesville Blues Allstars. Man, what a band and what a blues musician he was!

We lived a few blocks from each other growing up. We hung out a lot always discussing the latest albums. He was a good guy and always a friend. I´ll miss him. RIP Doug.

Rest now my friend. Too much to say, too many feelings. Quite simply one of my best friends. Family really. The brother I never had. We traveled together, cried together over lost loves, hung out in Silver Spring doing "normal" things, shared time at the beach house many summers. I will miss him terribly.
