I missed his funeral -- in bed with the 24-hour flu, or food poisoning, or God knows what. Doug would have said, with that big smile on his face: "OK Raymond, just for that, I'm going to miss yours!"
We met 45 years ago while in the early stages of our respective businesses. He introduced me to so many prospective customers who had the same joy of life and family, and respect for nature, that he did.

For those of you who could not attend the memorial service for Doug in McLean Va., December 17, It was a wonderful celebration of a man's life as His family and friends shared some of the wonderful memories Doug had given them. I was so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. He will be greatly missed by myself, his family, and his hundreds of friends.
I have such great memories of our times together, the ski trips to Europe, golfing in Myrtle beach and racketball games in Maryland. Doug's great sense of humor and almost perpetual smile will be missed most of all

Doug was a wonderful person and will be missed by all who knew him. Doug invited me to fish with him on a couple of occasions and he and Gail warmly invited me to their home. We will mis him.

This space is far to small to share my feelings about this wonderful guy. I had the honor and pleasure of working along side Doug at both Lab Products, and Systems Engineering when he returned to our industry several years ago.
He had a smile and stature that would light up a room, especially when Gail was by his side. No matter what the circumstances, Gail was...
