Not sure what to say?

Today March 8 2012 I learnt of the death of my friend and brother from another mother Dr. Kevin Bell. We the Okwakol family will not forget how you became our angel while in your country. Our first thanksgiving in America in 1998 was in your house. We do not remember how many more times after that we shared with you. Till the time we left in 2006 you were ordained by God to minister to the health of our eyes. Your desire was that we return to serve in our country. That we did and are now...

So sad to hear of our loss of Kevin Bell! I was very shocked to hear this almost 4 months late. Dr. Bell was such a kind man and we are all better people for knowing him.

Dr. Bell has been my eye MD for nearly 30 years. We first connected at his Bunn office. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I will always miss his smile and concern for others. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers. We loved him here; but God loved him best.

I grew up at Pritchard Memorial Baptist with Kevin. We had such a wonderful youth program then and Kevin was a fun part of our group. I never knew his wife but I wish you comfort in knowing how many lives he touched and the caring man he was. My love to Doug and Lucille Bell who I also grew up knowing. My grandparents were Bill and LaVerne Harris.

So sorry to hear of Kevin's passing. We wish you strength in this time of sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I have known Kevin for a long time. Kevin was a fine christian man who loved his family dearly and made a difference in his community and in this world. My heart goes out to his sweet family and his devoted and amazing wife, Melanie.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God comfort each of you and you find comfort in the fond memories. Dr. Bell was my eye doctor ever since he worked with Dr. Holland in Louisburg. He was a very special person who always asked how my family was and would talk about his family. He was a very caring and compassionate person. A great servant for the Lord. He will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

Doug and Lucille: I saw in the Pritchard newsletter the announcement about Kevin's death. Doris and I are very sorry and send our prayers. I remember the days at WSOC with great fondness and also seeing you at Pritchard. We will pray for your family at Northside Baptist here in Burlington where I now serve as pastor. May God bless you all!

Melanie, I remember Kevin when he came to work at Dr. Ed Holland's office in Louisburg. He was one of my favorite doctors to work with. He played some softball with us for a few years before he moved on to Wake Forest. Stay strong, sincerely Phil and Donna Driver
