While golfing, Doug exibited Passion, kindness, joy, wisdom, friendliness and thank you Close family for sharing him!

Although I met Doug only once--appropriately while golfing with him--I have to agree with the comment in his obituary, that he "had the ability to make each person he met feel exceptionally special." It was several years ago, but I still remember the golfing advice that Doug gave me: Not just to keep my head down, but to keep it still. For me, tough advice but good advice. Joyce and family, so sorry to hear of the passing of Doug. I am so sorry you have become a member of a club that isn't fun to belong to. I became a member a year ago this last August.

With heartfelt condolences at this very difficult time. Doug always had a smile, a greeting, and a funny story to tell. He can now play on the finest courses in heaven. It was truly a pleasure knowing him.

I first met Doug at the Hoover Co. We were both car nuts with a passion of muscle cars. We went to each others weddings. He was such a good friend. As our lives continued, I lost track of Doug. He sure had a zest for life as I read this. Prayers for Joyce and his family, for strength, love and peace. I have always had fond memories of Doug and the others in our group of car enthusiast.
