Not sure what to say?

Dear Bruce, Deborah, and families;
I was just informed of Douglas's tragic accident and subsequent death a few days ago. Please accept my deepest sympathy for the sudden passing of a dear old soul. With love and blessings, Paula

Bruce, Al just informed me of your father's passing, and I've read the Lindsay newspaper accounts. My condolences for this sudden and violent loss. I have a clear mental picture of your Dad yakking with us while the flames from the nontended BBQ were shooting up about 20 feet in the background. Always a lively party. I'll have to look, but there is a famous stag photo around, too. My best to your family.
Neil Young

Bruce:

Douglas and I acted together for over 25 years, and he was a generous colleague, unfailingly positive, and a consummate professional. Knowing that you and I had acted together as well, he always proudly updated me on your progress through life.

Ruth and I both send our condolences to you and your family.

Bruce - Your father and I worked together for about 4 years. I was very fond on him; he taught me a lot! We stayed in touch for most of the time he was retired but I lost contact with him when he moved. I was delighted to bump into him in Produce Depot just a few months ago, and we talked may times after that. I think of him often now.

Please accept my most sincere condolences. I know full well how much you and Deborah loved him and how close you were. He was a great friend,...

With our deepest sympathies for your loss. I will always remember your parents & both of you with fond memories of babysitting you & being neighbours.
