Doug and I met in India in 1992 when I was working for a Stratus partner company in India. He was a very kind man, who saw the ambition and hunger in me, and took me under his wing. With him, I got to start our company business in China in 1992, and then to do business in the Far East and in South Africa. I had the opportunity to work with Doug at Stratus Computer. He had the ability to relate to our team members and customers in Hong Kong, Singapore and elsewhere in Asia. He was respected, trusted and "loved" be them. He was often the bridge between HQ and the Stratus Asian offices. He contributed greatly to our success in Asia during the 80's.
