Not sure what to say?

I recall Douglas during his years in Graham High School as a student in my classes. His humor was always infectious and on display in his theater performances. He and his siblings and parents were friends and colleagues we treasured. Diane and Jack Cody

Simply said, he was a good guy.

David, I use to ride with you and Doug to Stephen F. Austin! Some of the funniest trips ever. I have memories of Doug that I will cherish. He was such a kind man.

Deepest sympathy to David and Douglas' family. A classmate gone too soon. Sharon Strowd Blichfeldt

Having lived in the same building the last few years, I got to know Doug pretty well. His stories and his instant jokes were appreciated by all. Our own deeper conversations, riding around town, were thought provoking. He always asked about my family and was truly concerned. All of us will miss him.

Thank you, Olivia and Susan, for your kind words. Susan, I always assured Doug that when the reviews of our performance came in, they would be positive!

Here is the childhood picture of the cousins on Doug´s Mom side. His mother and mine were best friends! I am the elder cousin on the right and the twins are on the left. What great days and a great man! RIP

Doug was my first cousin. Our mother´s were sisters and best friends. I have not seen my cousin for a long while. But we talked on the phone about once a year and we were Facebook buddies. I loved Doug and I will always remember how he made me laugh! He was a people person and loved life. My heart is heavy but I know he´s in a far better place with people who love him. Here´s a picture of all the first cousins. I´m the oldest on the far right, then twins on the left. What great memories...

I have a memory of Doug and David doing a comedy skit in the basement fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church at the Enchilada Dinner. Funny guys. Much love and sympathy to Doug´s family. Susan Spencer Laird
