My name is Tommy Scott and I was just informed of Dougs passing . I work at The Lyons Den and knew Doug for at least 40 years . I'm so sorry to have missed seeing his daughters and thank you for remembering me in your time of loss. I had an illness 2 years ago and Doug visited me . It meant a lot to me as did his friendship. We had a lot in common with our love of motorcycles , cars , Ky Basketball , and music. Please accept my heart felt sympathies and I'm so very sorry that I didn't see of...

Found memories of Doug protecting his beautiful daughters or at least making his presence known. Just going to knock at the door was terrifying. We were kids at the time and we knew better than to knock past dark. Once we grew up I was able to talk with Doug as an adult and realized he wasn't mean at all but really a great guy and father. He took pride in everything he did; His cars, yard, home, children, and occupation. When I think of Doug I think of a big guy with a great heart and a...
