Uncle Doug,
You will never know how much I love you and always will. I just can't believe your life was taken so soon. You were truly a great father, husband, uncle, and son. I just want you to know I will never forget about you or your smile. God must have had bigger plans for you. I know you are up there watching over me and hopefully smiling and proud of what I'm doing with my life. I just hope you save a spot for all of us at the pearly white gates. So for now it's not goodbye it's...

Friendship is a story that unfolds in trust, tenderness and loyalty. Each...

Doug was a great guy who will be missed. We enjoyed playing pool with him at Eastport, he was always so fun to be around and could always make you smile. I offer my sympathy to his family but just know the good lord is taking care of him now.

As I said on the wonderful memorial tribute page the funeral home has, Doug was one of my best friends through elementary school. Most of my childhood memories include him in some way. He was always such fun to be around and so quick to laugh! I have thought of him often over the years. I am sorry that we hadn't kept in touch. If we had, I would have told him how beautiful the kids are! The pictures posted on the funeral homes web-site are wonderful! I feel lucky to have known Doug, even if...
