Dear Anki, Victoria and rest of the Leeds family,
Most unexpectedly over the last 11 years since we lost our dear friend, your husband and father, son and brother "Doug" I see his face in a dream or feel his always present love for you, his love of people and life life his passion for his missions accomplished at ATW in the New York Broadway theatre world! Especially now, that the Broadway shows have revved their engines back up and we have returned to the theatres. We will be thinking of him this week when the announcements of the Tony nominations are released putting a special request "upstairs to Doug" that he is watching over a certain galvanizing play with DRIVE and a joyful musical celebrating "76 years since it was last seen on Broadway will get well earned and won Broadway award recognition. Our Love to you dearest Anki & Tori Judee & Tom

Doug Leeds was one of the great people you will have met in a lifetime; a first class entrepreneur in business with a passion for the theater. He was a good friend, devoted husband and father. He will be missed for his energy, smile and optimism. He set the bar high with his bow tie sense of humor and class.

" We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give", Winston Churchill. It reminds me of how much Doug gave to our industry, the warmth of his smile, his great presence and style, a wonderful guy and we will miss him very much.

I may not have seen Dougie for 50 years until we re-connected last November. We peeled away time as if those 50 years were 50 minutes. We were little boys together taking our first tentative steps into the world. Even then, Doug's talents were evident. He was artistic and radiated from the inside with curiosity and joy at all he experienced. He had an inner glow that lit up any room. He was a wonderful childhood friend and I will miss him. I felt that our paths would cross again and I am sad that he was taken too soon. I loved meeting Victoria and hearing about Connie and his mom and his marriage. He loved so many. I send my most profound condolences to them and to all those whose lives were touched by this remarkable man and who loved him right back .

My memory of Doug is at the NBS father-daughter breakfasts. I have a picture of him with the greatest smile. There was a wonderful person behind that smile. Doug represented all that is good in the world - he left us too soon, but I'm grateful to have known him. I'll miss him.

Doug Leeds was one of Point of Purchase's most talented, innovative and genuine people. A true gentleman who made everyone he dealt with comfortable. In simple terms, " a class act".

Doug was initially a business associate and quickly became a great friend and a wonderful confidant. His courage and fortitude were an inspiration to so many others confronting their own challenges. Our birthdays were within days of each other and never did he fail, including this year, to sing his warbly version of "Happy Birthday".....His good cheer was contagious. His love for Anki, Victoria, his friends., theatre and life enriched all of us. Truly one of a kind. Missed foreveer. Never forgotten.
With love to everyone touched by his life,
Stephanie and Fred Shuman

Doug Leeds was not only a friend but a mentor. He not only supported me professionally but personally as well. His incredible smile and infectious laugh (as well as his bow-ties) will always be remembered by me and by all he knew and touched. He never took no as an answer and "above all" he never gave up. You will be sorely missed. Thank you Doug. My condolences to Anki, Victoria and your family. Steve

Doug gave me a chance to prove myself and inspired and encouraged me, always with a smile. I too received birthday songs from him, and warm conversations afterward. I feel so very fortunate to have known him.
