Just reading this and saddened. I served with Boots in the Corps, played B ball with him at Saint A's. Doug was a great guy, a real tough nut and a gifted b ball player. Rest in Peace Marine. Semper Fi, Kevin Gow, Captain, USMC retired.

Boots was a friend from St A's and a fellow Marine Corps officer. Boots was also friends with my wife and was in my wedding party.

The U.S. Marines, Navy Fleet Marine Force Corpsmen, FMF Chaplains, and Associate Members of the E. T Brisson Detachment #063 of the Marine Corps League in Naples, Florida, hereby salute and recognize Doug Wayne Randolph for serving God and his country by becoming a United States Marine. We honor his memory and valiant service to our Corps and our great Nation. Please accept our heartfelt sentiments as a token of our esteem and admiration of his L´Esprit du Corps. Semper Fidelis.

My condolences to the Randolf family. I knew Doug from CT and was coincidentally reacquainted years later when he was selected to join our USSSA/ASA tournament softball team based out of Los Angeles, CA sponsored by the late Dr. Jerry Buss, owner of the Los Angeles Lakers. Doug played first base and outfield and as a star player contributed to many tournament wins including our first divisional title in the 1985 Western Divisional Tournament held in Orange County, CA.
