Not sure what to say?

My heart breaks in seeing this. I was searching for him in earlier in December, as I have several times in the past, just wanting to see or talk to him. He was my last link to Denny. I loved your father. he was always kind to me and my family, especially my mom. My prayers go out to the four of you. Melissa Fortner

Ivars and I were classmates of Doug´s in high school and at the University of Michigan. He was always a loving and faithful friend who cared deeply about his roots and memories. We would often receive phone calls from him to just to be checking on us or reminiscing about old times. We are totally shocked to find that we have lost this buddy.

So sorry to hear about this. Helped dad out for a while and was a pleasure to do so. My blessings to the family, Les.

I got the pleasure of being one of his favorite cooks for several years. I´ll keep with me all the wonderful wisdom and conversations we shared. I´m so glad I got the honor of getting to know him. My heart and prayers go out to his family may they find comfort in him finally finding peace.

our thoughts and prayers go out to to the family during this time of loss. Doug was a classmate of mine we shared many memories over the years that will always be remembered.

RIP my friend!

I worked for Doug for two summers, helping take care of his kids at their summer cottage in Grand Haven. Great guy. I remember him fondly. Condolences to Drew, Peter, Lesley, Allison and the rest of the family.

Doug was a classmate of my husband, Dave Horton. We enjoyed his company during class reunions and on a few other occasions. My condolences to his family.
