In 1974, my friend Draven and I went on a WestPac on the USS Chicago to Kenya, Mauritius, Pakistan, Guam, Hawaii, Singapore, Diego Garcia, and the Philippines. Everywhere Draven went he wore his tinted glasses. The Brother had a great Afro and was simply super cool. The attached picture shows the way Draven looked back in the day when we were running partners in California. Long live the memory of Draven McCall! God bless his family and may his soul rest in peace!

I first met Draven in the Navy's Boot Camp in Orlando, FL. His homeboy "Tate" was in my Boot Camp Company along with Jeffrey Jackson from Birmingham, AL. After Boot Camp, Draven, Jeffrey, and I were stationed together for three years on the USS Chicago CG11 first in Long Beach, CA and later in San Diego, CA. Draven was a good friend and a smart man about all things "outside". We always had a chat when he came by and he had such a great smile. He really loved Mike's Bar-B-Que sauce! We will muss him. Our deepest sympathy to Rita and all the family.
