Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of Dr Hurts passing , I was his chair side and OR assistant in Augsburg, Germany!! He will be missed!!!!

I was saddened to read that Dr Hurt had passed. My mom was his nurse while he was stationed in Germany. I was just a kid but I have fond memories of him always having a smile on his face and was very funny. We talk about funny stories at the dental clinic every once and awhile, Germany was a great time for my mom and my family. I wonder how he passed, and again I´m very sad to see he passed so long ago.

I am saddeded to learn of Duane Hurt's passing. My first encounter with him was as a patient, but my subsequent encounters were as a friend. His sense of humor and his laughter were contagious. I cannot say enough about his infectious personality and his sincerity. He easily won the respect and admiration of all who knew him. My sincerest sympathy to his family, about whom he often spoke--with unconditional love and beaming pride.

My profound condolences go to Sandie and to the entire Hurt family. Duane was a wonderful fellow who shared with me a deep and abiding faith in our country and the ideas for which it stood. Our conversations and interactions were an important part of my education. I know that he was proud of his role in the community. I especially admired his steady commitment to stay informed and to broadened himself across a variety of ideas and subjects. I was always impressed with his dedication to...

I will always have such great memories of my time together with Duane. To this day he remains one of my personal hero's. When I first arrived at Cole High School Duane welcomed me with open arms. He was a great friend and conveyed a genuine warmth and special interest in all of us who were fortunate enough to know him. He encouraged me to try out for the football team, taught me how to drive a stick shift and even taught me how to dress. Louis Cabaza, Duane and I were inseparable and the...

Duane was always a good friend. Just a few years ago we finally found each other for emails on Classmates.com. He talked about his family and was very happy. He mentioned you, Sandi, and said that he was very happy.

Duane was a very special individual. He made my time at Cole High School both interesting and fun. I was privileged to know Duane and was saddened to hear of his passing.

Hearing of Duane's passing was a shock. My memories of him were when he was a football team captain, a leader in our high school, and a vibrant personality. He was a role model and a fine person who will be missed.
