Not sure what to say?

I was in Mr. McSwain's class, science, and it was his very first year of teaching at Redwood. He was very enjoyable had a great sense of humor, was kind to all students and everybody just loved him!

Sad

Duncan was my little league baseball coach in Parkmerced in 1960 and 1961. He had a great influence on my life. So glad I tracked him down in 2022 and we had coffee at the Coffee Roaster a couple of time. I gave him the stats he developed for the 1961 season. We had a couple of great talks. An amazing man

Dunc and I were teammates on the famed 1952 Piedmont High football team and we carried on correspondence over the years, signing in with our jersey numbers. He was 11; I was 58. Dunc was the editor and publisher of "The Thistle", our PHS Class of 1953 newsletter and kept track of our classmates´ comings and goings. Dunc was a great guy with a big heart. One of a kind. I join his many friends who are so saddened by his leaving, but so blessed to have had him in our lives. My condolences and...

I will miss you Duncan. Your Biology class at Redwood was my favorite class because of you. Later we reconnected, and you taught my husband and I everything you knew about photography. I feel so privileged to have been your friend. God Bless You.

I am so sorry to hear of Duncan's passing. He was wonderful person and I loved helping him plan his Amazon travels when we worked together at Dimensions in Travel. Sending thoughts of peace and kindness to his family. Leslie Mace

I remember "Mr. MacSwain" fondly and gratefully. He was the first teacher to make me feel seen, heard, appreciated and respected unconditionally, during a time when I most desperately needed that. I still have the journal he made us write in Psych class! So happy to hear he lived such a full life.

I was already planning a trip to Peru and coincidentally heard Duncan give a travel talk about a trip to a distant Amazon jungle location. What a perfect side trip I thought so he helped me arrange it. What an amazing, never-to-be forgotten adventure I had - This 'side trip' turned out to be one of my most memorable adventures ever. Duncan was an amazing person. RIP and have heavenly travels.
