Not sure what to say?

I knew Dustin very well and he was one of my dearest friends. I hadn't talked to him in a few days and then on the day of his funeral I got the news that he had passed from his friend. It breaks my heart that I had absolutely no idea what was going on or what had happened or was not able to attend his funeral. Dustin is someone that I love dearly and he will always hold a special place in my heart.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Dustin Johns. I first met Johns in basic training. He was a great soldier and even greater friend.

Dustin was my battle buddy in Iraq and I will never forget him and everything we went through. I am deeply sorry for the loss and wish his family the best. I love you brother.

We didn't find out about Dustin until today. I have never seen such an impressive turnout at a funeral. I am so very sorry. He was such a great kid and so I'm sure he became a great man. He always brought a smile to my face.

Our hearts are deeply saddened by the loss of your Dustin. You will be remembered in our prayers as we ask for our Lord's guidance and comfort for you during this most difficult time.
