My son was a friend of Dustin at Winona State Univ. We are so sorry for your loss. Having lost another son at age 19 in 1994 I think I know what you are going through.
I wrote this shortly after they buried my son. It has helped me to accept and understand a little better over the passing years.
WHISPERS
Our lives are like some musica far off written song.
Some have many verses, while others aren't too long.
Some are only whispers that not too many hear.
While others are sung loudlyheard both far and near.
But, the song that's just a whisper and of what it's made up of
Touches those who hear it and fills their hearts with love.
And, though the song is but a whisper, to those that it's sung for
