Not sure what to say?

I was a student at San Jose State University in 1967 to 1970. I was in the Jazz Band. His innovative teaching helped me in my teaching in Anchorage AK I'll never forget our performance in Reno Jazz Band competition. We were in a class of our own. Advant Guard performance Fantastic!!

Dwight´s inspirational teaching & trumpet playing started me on a 30 year music teaching & band leading life Miss you & remember you so very well

Dwight brought such outstanding experiences to us at San Jose State there should have been a front page article on him in the Murky News. From playing Don Ellis' charts to shaking hands with J.J. Johnson to reaching us at our level, he was the consummate educator. Gabriel has a back-up!

Dwight,

Your creative spirit will be with all of us who you touched over the years!

Many fond memories of you will always be with me from my days at SJSU Music Dept.

May God bless you and your family.

Rest in peace.

Love,

Ed

Dwight......may you forever vibrate in Eflat....you were a source of energy and inspiration. We didn't always see eye to eye, but the music and spirit lives on soul to soul....

Dear Dwight,
I'll never forget those happy years when we both had homes with young families on Golden State Drive in Santa Clara. You were one good friend! Love always, Gary
