Although I am writing this five years after Dr. Brewer's passing, I would like to share a story that happened 50 years ago next week. My two sons were born in Houston and Dr. Brewer was their pediatrician. When my younger son was born, my mother-in-law brought his four year old brother to the hospital to see me. Dr. Earl Brewer was my doctor from the very begining I was diagnosed at the age of 2 years old in 1966 until I was 18 years old. He was not only there for me but was always there for my mother.
He was a dedicated doctor that did everything he could for his patience an worked tirelessly to do all that he could to fight JRA;
Too Doctor Brewer "Thank you for pulling so many rabbits out of the hat" and thank you!

One of those bridges he helped build was during the height of the Cold War. He was the principal investigator for the...

My name is David Waldron (51), and when I was 11 years old I was diagnosed with JRA (Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis) which developed into Connective Tissue Disease including Scleroderma.
