Edith Griedel Obituary
She was born June 18, 1930, in Mather, a daughter of the late Scott and Orpha Firestone Hostetler.
Mrs. Griedel was a 1948 graduate of Jefferson High School.
She was a cook at the former Youth Development Center in Waynesburg, Greene County Country Club and Matt Gusic's restaurant.
Mrs. Griedel loved her family and enjoyed gardening and her cats and dogs.
Her former husband, Joseph William Griedel, died January 5, 2005.
Surviving are nine children, Claudia A. Salvatore (Guy) of Natrona Heights, Eric J. Griedel (Charlene) of Waynesburg, Saundra M. Mader (Daniel) of Washington, Scott C. Griedel (Rene) of Clarksville, Leonard W. Griedel (Judy) of Waynesburg, Kurt D. Griedel of Waynesburg, Lisa L. Griedel of Waynesburg, Jeffrey L. Griedel of Carmichaels and Brian D. Griedel (Deirdre) of El Cerrito, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, Ryan Griedel, Sable Griedel, Daniel Mader, Laura Weaver, Amber Griedel, Ginny Griedel, Niels Griedel, Elena Griedel, Jonah Griedel and Brianna Hull; and a great-grandson, Colton Humphreys.
Deceased are a grandson, Christopher Griedel; a brother, William Hostetler; and two sisters, Sarah Morris and Verna Lutz.
Arrangements are private and entrusted to Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor.

I have only the very best of memories of Mrs Griedel. I can remember a smile that would light up a room, and a friendly lady that was always ready to listen. I have met every one of her nine children, and I think each one is wonderful. I wish to express my condolences to each of you.
