Dear Mrs.Campbell, Eddie and Phil: The memorial service at First Baptist certainly captured the essence of Mr. Campbell. My happiest memories will always center around LakeTuscaloosa and Uncle "Kingfish" at the wheel of the sleek Cobalt, and the Church boys skiing behind. Shirley and Family:
I was so sorry to read of Nelson's death in the Tuscaloosa News. I am an old classmate of his and remember you both from Jaycees and Jaycettes. I pray that God will grant you peace and grace through the coming days and yes, even years. His grace is sufficient.

Having grown up with Nelson, this is a sad day indeed. However, as we think back to our early days Nelson was always one of the people we knew would stand out as an achiever in every thing he did. Nelson never had to reinvent himself. He started out as a real person that you could admire for what he was and never had any reason to change. Go in peace.

Dear Shirley, Phil and Eddie, Our hearts go out to you at this time and can only imagine the void you must feel. Nelson was a big part of so many lives, ours included. We will always cherish the memories of the Cushman Meets, time spent at your home, stories shared around the fires (or no fires), Motors in the front and motors in the back dance, and the miles of advise and stores that Nelson would share with all of us. We love you all and pray that your memories will bring you peace at this time of loss.
