i am edmond flood the 4th and i new my grandpa as a friend and a man who talk to me and made me laugh. i miss my grandfather but i know that if he saw this now he would say he loves everyone who has wrote to him on this.

My deepest condolences to Mr. Flood's entire Family. Great Academic Leader at Rice High School, Awesome Mentor, Great Listener, and a person that Truly made a difference in my life and the lives of so many young man in Harlem, NYC. Rest in Peace.

I worked with Ed at Rice and have always held him in high esteem. He truly was a good man: honest, true, humble, just, fair , faithful, spiritual, loyal. He was a fantastic example and inspiration to everyone at Rice, especially to those students who needed a little extra attention. He instilled basic values and skills that led to success for many. There are many men leading meaningful lives because they encountered Ed in their formative years.

My condolences to the Flood family. We were neighbors 45 years ago in South ozone park. I still have great memories of your family. I found the Flood family to be a kind, close knit family. Edmond and Barbara created this lovely family and from meeting Thomas years later I see the class handed down to the Flood children. God bless Edmond and the Flood family.

I had Mr. Flood for two classes while attending Rice High School ( class of 1980). He was always kind and helpful. Rest In Peace.

I was a student of Mr. Flood at Rice HS 60s he was my English teacher and also swim coach. A lesson I learned from him and will always remember show up and always be prepared. Never forgot that. He was a good man and teacher remember him well. RIP Mr. Flood.
