My wife Leona knew him as well. Dr Lawrence also performed surgery on our son Monte Carlo.

I was a surgical tech at St Vincent Hospital, he was a great surgeon and great man

So very sorry for your loss. I remember working, traveling, and partying with the whole family. I think of them often. They will be missed.

I just learned of Dr. Lawrence death today 1/14/20. Dr. Lawrence performed two rare and life saving brain surgeries on me. 1st surgery in 1987 the 2nd in 1998. I thank God for placing Dr. Lawrence in my life. May he rest in peace.

Seeing this again after 1 yr still makes me very sad He was an excellent surgeon & great to work with also he helped diagnose my syringomyelia & arnaold cheires did a wonderful surgery my sympathies to his family...such a great lose

Recently heard from a friend of Dr Lawrence's passing, just wanted to express my sympathy to his family.
I had the good fortune of working with him at St Vincent's Hospital back in the 90's. He had so much information to share while doing the cases, a great teacher with a wonderful sense of humor that seemed to destress all involved.
