I remember meeting Edna and Mario Candiotti in June 1969 in the JFK Airport. This is where Mimi Candiotti's parents had chosen to bid her farewell for a ten week summer in France. My parents (John and Mildred Wenger) had chosen also to accompany me to New York to bid farewell. That June was an interim of a controller's strike and we were delayed several hours before departure.
